Beans with extra virgin olive oil


Ingredients: beans (red or white, as you prefer), water, salt, black pepper, extra virgin olive oil and, if you like, onion.

Preparation:

  1. Boil the fresh beans in salted water (alternatively you may use canned beans, but first you have to drain them, removing the liquid).
  2. Once the beans are cooked drain them, removing the cooking water.
  3. Put the beans in a bowl.
  4. Add the thinly sliced onion.
  5. Season with extra virgin olive oil.
  6. Add a pinch of pepper, if you like.
  7. Serve hot or cold as desired.
