Oily slices of bread

This recipe is prepared with fresh extra virgin olive oil, sometimes directly at the mill. It’s a simple recipe that exalts the quality of Tuscan extra virgin olive oil, its fruity aftertaste and its strong flavour!

Ingredients: Tuscan bread, garlic, Tuscan extra virgin olive oil, salt and, if you like, black pepper.

Preparation:

  1. Put the bread slices on a hot grill.
  2. Grill the slices on both sides, being careful not to burn them.
  3. Rub garlic on each slice.
  4. Season with salt and, if you like, pepper, then add a generous amount of fresh extra virgin olive oil over the slices; if you don’t have fresh extra virgin olive oil you may also use a good Tuscan extra virgin olive oil.
  5. Serve immediately, when it’s still hot.
