Ingredients: beans (red or white, as you prefer), water, salt, black pepper, extra virgin olive oil and, if you like, onion.
Preparation:
- Boil the fresh beans in salted water (alternatively you may use canned beans, but first you have to drain them, removing the liquid).
- Once the beans are cooked drain them, removing the cooking water.
- Put the beans in a bowl.
- Add the thinly sliced onion.
- Season with extra virgin olive oil.
- Add a pinch of pepper, if you like.
- Serve hot or cold as desired.
